The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Employee Benefits Technical Writer to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Cranston, RI. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards
• Gain deep understanding of products and services, and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content
• Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of target audience
• Develop and maintain detailed database of reference materials
• Evaluate current content and develop innovative methods for improvement
• Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
• Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write RFP response
• Work with development and support leads to identify documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine best solutions for data compilation and centralized storage
• Research, create, and maintain information architecture templates that adhere to organizational standards and allow for easy data migration
• Develop content with consistent voice across all documentation

Qualifications:

• Two or more years of experience as an effective technical writer
• Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter
• Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver all projects on time
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), journalism, communications, or relevant technical field
