Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our team of talented hardware department. The ideal candidate will work with engineers and technical writers to compose and revise user manuals for computer hardware, quick reference guides, software manuals and other documentation as assigned. The ideal candidate must be able to constantly develop products expertise, further analyze and synthesize technical information for maximum usefulness to enable the end users to get the full value from our products and services in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

• Interacting with engineers and other tech writers to obtain technical data, schematics, drawings for manual production
• Writing, revising, completing user manuals, quick reference guides, and user guides as assigned
• Using graphics tools to create illustration drawings, product images, and technical graphics to be used in technical documentation
• Providing assistance and support to a senior technical writer in maintaining user manuals for Intel motherboard and MB-related projects
• Keeping records that document revisions of all manuals involved
• Submitting daily and weekly status reports for review
• Providing support to other technical writers, engineers, and sales when needed

Qualifications:

• BA in English, Technical English, Technical Writing, Technical Communications required
• Proficiency in desktop publishing packages, including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Word, Excel required
• Minimum 6 months of technical experience in computerandhardware-related fields required and at least 2 years of experience in writing technical documents and creating technical graphic illustration preferred
• Strong attention to details, time management, organizational and project management skills, and ability to manage multiple projects to meet tight deadlines
• Must be self-motivated, work independently or as part of a team, able to learn quickly, meet deadlines and demonstrate problem solving skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, be able to follow verbal and written instructions

Salary Range

$52,000 - $139,000
