About the position:

The Technical Writer is responsible for research, development, writing, and publication of technical documentation such as maintenance, operator, and installation manuals, software implementation and user guides, online help, and various other technical documents. This individual will develop and verify content with multiple departments and subject matter experts, and may coordinate the production, publication, and distribution of printed, electronic, and online materials.May be the project leader for small projects or a subset of larger ones.

Job Responsibilities, depending on Technical Writer level:

• Using current publishing software and hardware, provides document creation and writing to support the Company's publishing goals, legal requirements, and objectives of the Technical Publications department.
• Ensures that all publications conform to Corporate standards.
• Makes technical updates to published documents as needed.
• Integrates graphics, creates PDFs, initiates and manages PDF shared reviews.
• May conduct content research to assist colleagues with the design and development of materials.
• May assist with preparation and upload of content into a component content management system
• Works and administers(basic level)in a Windows system environment, understands system workflow, and interacts with internal databases (PLM and proprietary).

The successful candidateshould:

• Be able to read engineering prints, system diagrams, and parts lists.
• Be familiar with electromechanical and hydraulic systems, hardware/software integration and troubleshooting, and basic assembly techniques and tools.
• Be familiar with the following:FrameMaker or comparable XML editor, RoboHelp or comparable Help authoring tool, structured authoring, Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and component content management system such as Adobe Experience Manager Guides/XML Documentation.
• Be familiar with interactive electronic technical manuals (IETMs), simplified English, minimalism, and technical communication industry terminology.

About you:

• A Bachelor's Degree or related technical certificate is preferred.
• Two to four or more years of related experience is required.

• Self-driven with the ability to work independently and be accountable for project deadlines
• Excellent planning, time management, and decision-making skills with the ability to self-manage numerous projects simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork

About the schedule:

• This position is 1st shift with a hybrid schedule

About the total compensation package:

Salary - Salaries ranging from $54,000 - $80,000
