Technical Writer

ABOUT THE TEAM:

The Documentation team supports the development teams, who rely on the Agile method to deliver the highest level of software and documentation quality.

Your main mission will be to contribute to and help maintain the end-user and developer/API documentation, as well as do UX writing. You will write brand new content to keep up with the evolution of the product and revamp existing content to make it more efficient and cheaper to maintain. You will also have the ability to shape how we manage the documentation in the company.

We would prefer to meet professionals who are already based in Berlin or willing to move to Berlin.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with various teams to document new product features as they are released, and address product documentation gaps
• Write API documentation (language: OAS) and developer documentation (tools: MDX/Docusaurus)
• Provide support to the UX/frontend team with UX writing
• Review content created by other technical writers and have your content reviewed by them

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE: :

• Previous experience in a Technical Writer role for at least 2+ years
• Well-rounded experience in writing customer-facing and API focused documentation
• Great understanding of standard technical writing concepts such as minimalism, DOCS-AS-CODE, topic-oriented writing, and user-centric thinking
• Familiarity or professional work with our tools stack: Github, Visual Studio Code, Docusaurus, Redocly, Postman, Figma, and more
• Autonomy in managing your own tasks and resources
• Empathy and proactivity in anticipating customer’s questions during testing
• Strong will to operate in a cross-functional team where team collaboration and ownership of delivery are of great importance
