Job Description

As a Technical Writer for Coho Consulting Group, you will play a crucial role in managing and finalizing nomination packages for federal advisory committees. Your primary responsibility will be to intake, update, and ensure the completion of these packages, adhering to specific requirements set by the Non-Profit Organizations (NPO), Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), and White House Liaison Offices (WHLO). You will work remotely and collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver accurate and well-structured documents.

This is a part-time, non-exempt role.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Document Management: Intake and manage nomination packages through the entire process, ensuring they meet the specified requirements from NPO, FACA, and WHLO. Update documents according to feedback and changes.
  • Template Compliance: Verify that documents are in the correct format or transfer them into the latest template provided by the FACA office.
  • Finalization and Submission: Finalize nomination packages in collaboration with the FACA office and upload them to the designated document repository.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Work with stakeholders, including regional coordinators, resource advisory committee coordinators, and designated federal officers, to compile necessary documentation and gather input.
  • Process Updates: Collaborate with FACA and WHLO to integrate updates into the nomination package process and SRS process as needed.
  • Tracking and Reporting: Maintain up-to-date status of nomination packages in a SharePoint database and add key information to the SharePoint tracker. Coordinate with offices using the Interim Correspondence Content Tracking (ICCT) tool.

  • Required Knowledge/Experience:
    • Writing and Editing Skills: Proficiency in creating clear, concise content and strong editing skills to ensure accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
    • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to identify errors, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement in documents.
    • Communication Skills: Effective communication abilities to interact with stakeholders and convey complex information clearly.
    • Adaptability: Ability to manage shifting priorities and deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
    • Collaboration: Experience working in a team environment, providing constructive feedback, incorporating suggestions, and supporting various groups within the Washington Office and field level employees.

Position Pay Range

$30—$40 USD
