Job Description
As a "Technical Writer" within our Implementations and Technical Account Management team, you are responsible for the successful documentation of Signifyd's APIs and customer onboarding and enhancement materials. You will work cross-functionally with multiple internal teams to ensure that Signifyd's APIs are adopted successfully and to ensure that our scoping and implementation methodologies and content are kept up to date across teams.
What you'll do in this role:
- Continuously improve the Signifyd open source documentation in collaboration with engineers, product managers, and others.
- Review and edit documentation for all new and enhanced features. This means you will be attending cross functional meetings related to customer specific enhancements and larger initiatives related to product deployment.
- Help developers and other members of the community who have documentation-related questions.
- Identify and address content gaps or the need for additional media such as diagrams or videos. Address means create content and roll it out with relevant, product or marketing stakeholders!
- Participate in reviews and revamps of section or page content and structure.
- Help review and triage incoming suggestions, corrections, and other content from the Signifyd community.
- Continuously improve the Signifyd documentation site user experience in collaboration with UX, engineers, and other technical writers (eventually). These efforts will include the documentation site's design, and might include search, build process, feedback methods, SEO, visitor analytics, versioning, and other technical components.
- Contribute to the improvement of team process and style.
- Plan and complete large content initiatives, such as section reviews and revamps.
- Plan and lead documentation site feature enhancement initiatives.
- Work with UX Researchers and Product Designers to identify contextual content and documentation opportunities in the product.
- Plan and execute cross-functional efforts associated with content creation
You should apply if you have:
- Experience working with a docs-as-code workflow
- Experience researching, planning, writing, and editing software documentation.
- Excellent skills in grammar, minimalist documentation design, and effective information architecture.
- General familiarity with one or more coding languages.
- Excitement about our Signifyd's values.
- Ability to thrive in an environment where self-learning and asynchronous communication are instilled as a part of our culture.
- Experience with some of the following:
- DevOps tools and open-source software.
- A rapidly scaling start-up environment.
- Remote work, especially in collaboration with others across countries and time zones.
- Linux shell
- Postman
- Apiary
- Curiosity about how software works and experience testing beta features.
- Demonstrated use of data in evidenced-based decision making.

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $90,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
*Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.
