Job Description:
The Technical Writer at IERUS is responsible for executing technical content development with support from technical staff and business development. Under the direction of the Vice President of Business Development and in-line with IERUS’ Corporate priorities, the Proposal Writer supports the content development for request for proposal/information (RFP/RFI), small business innovative research (SBIR) papers, white papers and other technical responses as required. Additional expectations include:
- Ability to semi-independently develop proposal content from technical materials/interviews;
- Ability to actively participate in win strategy and development of technical strengths;
- Manage the Corporate Past Performance library;
- Ability to manage the key personnel library;
- Support development of marketing materials;
- Actively support the full-cycle proposal development including formulating bid/no-bid decision recommendation, completing proposal outlines, conducting kick-off meetings, assigning authors, supporting/performing content creation, conducting review meetings, working with contracts to complete cost proposals, and finalizing and submitting proposal;
- Provide surge support for BD Administration functions;
- Participating in regular business development meetings.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in developing technical content for proposals;
- Strong technical writing skills;
- Proposal writing experience;
- Knowledge of government solicitation documents, including standard RFP structure;
- Ability to manage and prioritize schedule between multiple proposal development simultaneous activities;
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance;
- Must be a US citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Top Secret security clearance;
- Proven independent proposal development capability;
- Experience with one or more of IERUS’s mission specialties;
- Experience with one or more of IERUS’s core competencies.
