Job Description

Development of technical publications, related data, and technical services support for the Aerospace domain. The project is about the creation and revision of the maintenance documentation in international specifications/standards (S1000D, DITA, Microsoft style guide, STE, iSpec2200, etc.). The manuals include but are not limited to:

• Inspection Manuals
• Remove/Replace Manuals
• Operation Manuals
• Description Manuals
• Troubleshooting/Diagnostic Manuals
• 2D views, 3D exploded views of the components
• Parts lists
• Maintenance plan
• Illustrated Parts Catalogue
• Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM)

The inputs will be Engineering Drawings, Bill of materials (BOMs), Production operation sheets, technical mark-ups from Engineering, Engineering Change requests, SIL, SBs, TRs, repair procedures, supplier documents and customer-specific documents. Research, and review to determine the impact of the inputs on technical publications. Create/Revise technical content in Simplified Technical English (STE). Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the internal department procedures, controls, flows, and systems. Deliver to the customer within agreed quantitative and qualitative metrics.

The job requires the following criteria to be satisfied:

• Must have excellent oral, written, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with S1000D Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional, PTC Arbortext editor, PTC Arbortext IsoDraw, Creo, Catia V5, PDM, and Visualizations Mockup will be beneficial.
• Technical writing training/certification will be an added advantage.
• Understanding of functioning, disassembly, Assembly, Cleaning, Inspection, and Repair of components/assemblies
• Proficient in interpreting Engineering Drawings, GD&T
• Proficiency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of usage of STE standards in Technical Publications
