The Role:

adMarketplace is looking for an experienced Technical Writer with a focus on IT Security and IT Operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in IT Security, IT Operations, Compliance, Auditing, Privacy or Legal Contracts as well as excellent writing and communication skills. Specific focus on policy writing and strong editing is a must. This candidate will be able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment, embedding with different technical teams while maintaining a central focus on the prose of the organization’s style and standards. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a style guide for documentation and how-to’s for distribution across the organization 
  • Develop technical documentation for IT Security and IT Operations processes, procedures, and policies
  • Create user guides, training materials, and other technical documents
  • Research and analyze technical information to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation
  • Collaborate with IT Security and IT Operations teams to ensure accuracy and clarity of documentation
  • Collaborate with Privacy Officer and Legal Counsel
  • Collaborate with Marketing team
  • Ensure all documents are up to date and compliant with industry standards
  • Monitor and review existing documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communications or similar discipline  and some technical experience in comp-sci or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in technical writing
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
  • Proficiency in Confluence, Google Docs Suite and other technical writing tools
  • Designer skills is a big plus 

*Compensation Range: $85,000 - $140,000

*This range represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of adMarketplace in the New York office. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience; training; associated responsibilities; and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
