What you'll achieve:
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating technical narratives in support of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Tenders, and Requests for Information (RFIs) issued by the U.S. Federal Government and other government customers in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada. As a Dell Federal Technical Proposal Writer, you will interact with our sales teams and various Dell technical experts to produce competitive technical narratives that will be incorporated into our winning proposal responses. The technical narratives you create will clearly demonstrate how Dell offers the best value and overall solution for its customers.
You will:
- Closely collaborate with the project pursuit teams throughout the proposal lifecycle to develop compliant, compelling, and succinct narratives conveying team qualifications and technical approach in response to RFP requirements
- Develop and write customer-facing narratives that meet, and exceed where possible, Request of Qualifications/Request for Proposals (RFQ/RFP) criteria including, but not limited to technical approaches to solution design, project management, services and project delivery, experience/past performance, and cover letters
Essential Requirements
- Five or more years' experience in technical writing, preferably in creating compliant and compelling technical narratives in response to the customer's RFP requirements in the IT industry
- Superior writing skills, including editing, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and proofreading.
- Must possess strong leadership, organizational, writing, grammar, and editing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio) and Adobe.
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or higher, preferably in a relevant area such as English, Marketing, Communications, Business, Science, Engineering or related field.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience with the Federal procurement process, with strong preference for experience in responding to RFPs and RFIs in a high-tech field.
- Knowledge of Dell solutions, including core products and services, plus emerging innovations in 5G, AI, cybersecurity, data management, and professional services a plus.
