Technical Writer IV

The Technical Writer is responsible for generating innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The position researches products, services, technology or concepts to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience. A Technical Writer writes descriptive manuals and guides for complex subjects. Their duties include researching topics, writing documents and editing their work for publication.

Areas of Expertise & Special Skills:

• Experience working with technical and nontechnical team members and stakeholders at different levels in IT field.
• Experience working in technical Agile/Scrum teams, with ability to follow and meet evolving project requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in English speaking and writing.
• Professional Writing or Creative Writing is a big plus.
• Willingness to learn new processes, tools and professional talents 
• Ability to work in highly collaborative environment with minimal supervision 
• Is adaptable proactive and self-motivated.

Technical Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, English, Literature, and/or Writing a plus.
• 5+ Years of experience as Technical Writer or similar role.
• 5+ years of experience in strong analytical and writing skills including solid experience writing and analysis documentation for multiple audiences.
• 5+ Experience creating and using infographics such as diagrams, screenshots, charts, workflows, and graphics that increase users’ understanding.
• Experience working with technical and nontechnical team members and stakeholders at different levels in IT field.

Preferred Skills:

• TGCS hardware Point of Sale product knowledge would be beneficial. ·
• Familiarity with IXIASoft Content Management System a plus
• Familiarity with writing technical documentation in DITA a plus
