Job SummaryThe Technical Writer Senior is responsible for the design, development and ongoing maintenance of documentation housed on the intranet sites and/or used as stand-alone documentation. This includes researching, information gathering, composition and editing content to meet business needs.

Requirements

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing or related field. In lieu of degree, five (5) years' technical writing or other equivalent experience will be considered.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum five (5) years' technical writing experience. OR applicable Masters in related field with minimum three (3) years’ experience.

Project management experience.

ResponsibilitiesCollaboration - Collaborates with subject matter experts to develop documentation that support needs and objectives., Documentation Creation - Writes and updates documentation housed on intranet sites and used as stand-alone documentation., Documentation Maintenance - Organizes and maintains documentation files., Interview SMEs - Interviews subject matter experts to extract and organize process steps and other information for clear and concise understanding., Knowledge - Remains up-to-date on changes related to technical writing including researching best practices and educating other Technical Writers on the team., Mentor - Mentors other Technical Writers in the area., Other duties as assigned., Projects - Leads, sponsors, and/or serves on project teams.
