Technical Writer - TS/SCI

SIXGEN would like to add an ambitious, dedicated, and self-motivated Technical Writer to our team.

Job Location: Hanover, Maryland or Remote w/ access to SIPR

Job Duties:

Research subject matter as required to support documentation.

Drafts technical documentation for electronic, mechanical, and computer equipment.

Oversee the development of information and analysis to select and present on the specialized subject in a form and at a level suitable for the intended audience.

Completes editing lifecycle, reviews specifications as needed.

Observe and adhere to the proper protocols and requirements for processing, handling, and storing classified materials.

Requirements

6-8 years of experience in conceptualizing, writing, editing, and managing technical documentation pertaining to electronic, mechanical, and computer equipment.

Experience in understanding and accurately translating technical documentation to meet DoD standards in the form of reports, manuals, orders, or original papers.

Knowledge of DoD standards, specifications and test practices is desired.

Working knowledge of FM 25-100, 25-101, and NIST RMF.

The ability to obtain, analyze, and present information at a level suitable for the intended audience.

Experienced with one or more of the following: Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Prezi, Adobe, Visio, etc.

Standard technical profecciency thats required for working remotely.
