Technical Writer/Editor

Future Technologies is seeking a Technical Writer/Editor to join our winning team. Location: Dahlgren, VA

Clearance: Secret

Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Experience composing technical documents including, user's manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports in accordance with technical documentation guidelines and standards, editing functional descriptions, system specifications, user's manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents ensuring grammatical correctness, and conducting research while ensuring the use of proper technical terminology.
• Experience gathering, analyzing and composing meeting minutes and action items.
• Working knowledge of classified and unclassified military standards and specifications.
• Experience in classified document marking, handling, and tracking.
• Experience with documentation and data formatting tools such as Microsoft Office

Qualifications

Education and requirements:

• Three (3) years of experience which includes gathering, analyzing, and composing technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel
• Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) experience is preferred
