We are seeking an Technical/Proposal Content Writer Intern to join our team. This is a full-time six month internship set to start in April and run through end of September. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of Waltham, MA.

Job Summary
The Technical/Proposal Content Writer Intern assists with the development and maintenance of accurate and quality standard RFx/proposal content. The Content Intern works closely with the RFx/Proposal Content Manager and subject matter experts (SMEs) throughout the organization to obtain current and strategic information about company operations, products, services, and security and translate that information into accurate, strategic proposal responses. The RFx/Proposal Content Intern maintains this information ad hoc and according to an established review schedule. The Technical/Proposal Content Writer Intern also serves as a backup to the rest of the RFx team, taking overflow assignments and contributing, as needed, to specific proposals and projects that support team or department initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Write, proofread, and edit assigned RFx/proposal content (Q&A pairs as well as associated collateral/attachments) in the cloud-based proposal library software(Loopio).
  • Participate in RFx/proposal library maintenance and growth guided by established processes, procedures, and database standards and best practices.
  • Backup the RFx team in managing/creating RFx responses relative to assigned topics, where necessary
  • Maintain relationships with key SMEs and other business partners throughout the Imprivata organization to ensure accuracy of library responses and collaborate with Imprivata departments.
  • Actively contribute to the RFx team's success by fully engaging in assigned roles as part of group projects or overall department initiatives.
  • Remain flexible to organizational needs and participate in special projects!


Required Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program (preferably majoring in Technical Writing/Communications, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security or other related major)
  • Strong interest/aptitude in technical writing and information technology/cybersecurity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and pivot from one project to another.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Quick learner who is self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.


This position offers a total compensation range of $20.00 to $22.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications
