Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

• Responsible for SDSM overall lead engineer coordinator for ESD S20.20, Calibration & Cleanroom (ECCR) qualification & compliance for ESD S20.20 certification, qualification & training, Calibration system management and compliance and Cleanroom qualification & compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Roles & Responsibilities:

• Represent management as ESD Coordinator & Program management, Calibration system management and Cleanroom compliance management
• Coordinate Plant Certification Audit by Certification Body & ISO standards
• Conduct Internal Auditing to ensure compliances
• Support ESD, Calibration & Cleanroom related Customer Audit requirement
• Represent SDSM for Western Digital global ESD, Calibration & Cleanroom harmonization & standardization forum and activities
• Manage technician & operators for daily compliance verification activities
• Drive continuous improvement projects for ESD, Calibration & Cleanroom qualification, compliance and training

Specific Activities:

• Training - Provide ESD Awareness Training for IDL New Hires, DL Trainers, Specific ESD Focus Training for Maintenance / Engineering Support and ESD Auditors. Also coordinate required training for Calibration and Cleanroom training requirement for identified resources plant wide
• Documentation - Responsible for ESD document consolidation & unified practice according to ANSI/ESD Standard, Calibration & Measurement System Analysis (MSA) procedure and Cleanroom protocol requirement
• Continuous Improvement Projects - identify gaps and drive critical enhancement projects across all ESD, Calibration & Cleanroom (ECCR) domains
• Compliance: Coordinate ESD, Calibration & Cleanroom Compliance measurement is done in timely manner and review root cause analysis for any ESD Control items failure
• Conduct investigation to identified Root cause and Corrective action to ESD failure, Calibration & MSA system gaps, and Cleanroom trigger and alert event
• Qualification & Projects: Perform and review ESD Material/Product Qualification & release and maintain the database, Perform and review Machine qualification & release, and Provide ESD Consultancy to Automation Design Team, Vendors & Supplier
• ESD projects – examples: New building setup/ Establish EPA area, ESD Turnstile management, ESD Online database, Perform qualification on New Manufacturing Line setup/New Workstation setup
• Global Harmonization & Standardization: Support ESD Corporate activities ( Core Document , Training , Auditing & etc), and having alignment with other Western Digital sites on Standardization of ESD requirement & implementation

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Minimum degree holder in Engineering with certified ANSI/ESD standard from ESDA or equivalent certification bodies, Calibration knowledge & certification and Cleanroom knowledge & certification
• Added advantage for certified ESD program manager, iNARTE certified or equivalent and having latest S20.20 version knowledge and certification
• Having of minimum 10 years experience in ESD for storage/electronics or equivalent manufacturing industries, Calibration & MSA knowledge and Cleanroom knowledge and certification

PREFERRED:

• Manufacturing Quality Assurance, Engineering or Consulting working experience for ESD, Calibration & Cleanroom
• Experience working with product development characterization or machine Automation team is an added advantage.
• Knowledge on statistical tools / data science techniques and data analytics skill
• Preferred background on SMT and electronics manufacturing process

SKILLS:

• Program/product management, problem solving & excellent communication skills both oral & written.
• Experience in ISO9001 or IATF16949 is an added advantage.
