Position Overview

This is a remote position that can sit within the PNC footprint, although it may not be available in all jurisdictions. There is limited expectation for regular in person, in office activities.

This position is part of the PNC Healthcare / Treasury Management department. As a Technology Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining our client facing system, Healthcare Advantage, monitoring the system to make sure that it is working appropriately for all of our clients. In this role you will be responsible for attending Agile ceremonies to make sure that we are up to speed with all releases, as well as working with other enterprise technical teams and development teams within the PNC Healthcare Group that are specific to the product. Additionally, this team has a focus on improving system stability as well as leveraging automation, so you will have a hand in system innovation and product improvement.

Due to the nature of this position, we are looking for candidates who have a strong background in using SQL. Additionally, successful candidates will also have experience using Oracle, Java, Unix, Linux, as well as experience with performance monitoring management, such as Dynatrace.

Job Description

  • Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions. Assists with selecting appropriate platforms, integrates and configures solutions.
  • Develops software components and hardware for new and emerging technology projects; aligns these with business strategies and objectives.
  • May provide consultation on common issues and best practices for junior staff.
  • Provides a systematic analysis on client requirements within the traceability framework and resolves any functional problems encountered.
  • Ensures quality of project deliverables while maintaining compliance with relevant standards and processes.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of industry-relevant experience. An operations or production environment position typically requires 2 years of previous managerial experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
