Technology Finance Manager - CIO
Job Description
Successful candidate must have proven track record of working in a high-pressure environment and demonstrate the ability to work on several projects/deliverables at the same time.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Technology Finance Manager, you will:
- Partner with leaders in CIO on strategic priorities and initiatives
- Partner with other DSIG finance teams to deliver financial information and other data to Operational and Finance leaders, including providing recommendations, identifying opportunities and risk, and suggesting alternative actions through insight
- Ensure business targets are fully operationalized across the areas of CIO supported
- Review capital and expense spend to ensure alignment with EPC commitments
- Ensure business understanding of forecast and close results through strong commentary and storytelling from finance teams
- Partner with segment/function finance to drive consistency and alignment across the decision support team on projects and adhoc requests
- Ownership of forward-looking information, including decision making on areas of judgement, based on business knowledge and financial trends
- Develop effective relationships with CIO leadership team
- Support business case preparation and investment decisions
- Guide business teams through the investment process, enabling decisions based on investment effectiveness / ROI
- Collaborate with Operational team to develop capital forecast by product/capability
- Monitor key metrics closely to identify or to anticipate shortfalls or other shifts in the business requiring corrective action
- This role will have direct reports that support the technology teams
- Review financial assumptions and estimates to ensure they are reasonable and accurate and aligned to the O&T strategy
- Drive Standardisation and simplification in line with TR Enterprise Processes
- Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis when necessary
About You
You're a fit for the role of Technology Finance Manager if your background includes:
- 7+ years of experience in Finance
- Bachelors degree or higher preferred
- Proactive, very organized, ability to multitask, managing time and competing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Strategic and critical thinker
- Self-starter with proven ability to work autonomously, collaborate and influence key leaders within the context of a complex, matrix organization to drive results
- Ability to manage a team/team members and develop staff ensuring cohesiveness, collaboration and clear linking of objectives and outcomes
- Familiarity with accounting and financial reporting
- Excellent communication and people skills; Ability to converse with senior management openly and confidently and influence all areas of the business
- Ability to synthesize information and present results in a clear and concise manner to senior executives
- Excellent excel modelling skills
- Anticipating and serving evolving needs
- Demonstrate adoption of the TR Mindsets and Behaviors
