Technology Intern

Location

This role can work remotely from anywhere in the United States. If you are in the Washington D.C. Metro area, this role could be hybrid (Fairfax, VA with a partial remote option). You must be legally authorized to work in the US. Bixal does not provide visa sponsorship.

What will you do?

Bixal is seeking an enthusiastic and diligent technology intern who is eager to gain hands-on experience and develop practical skills in this area. Interns will be expected to work up to 40 hours per week and will have the opportunity to apply their academic learning to real-world situations.

Responsibilities

• Immersive study of learning paths, activities, and exercises
• Active collaboration and contribution to the development of a demo project
• Implementation and presentation of a project at the end of the internship

Qualifications

• Junior/Senior undergraduate student currently enrolled in a relevant field
• Availability to work 40 hours per week (9-5 EST)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate with empathy and understanding
• Familiarity with general software development tooling and concepts, including Command line interface and code versioning management (git)
• General understanding of web technologies and problem solving techniques
• Proficiency in using integrated development environments (IDEs) or code editor tools such as PyCharm, Visual Studio Code, Sublime, or equivalent
• Knowledge of at least one programming language such as JavaScript, PHP, Python, or equivalent.
