Technology Learning Senior Advisor - Remote
Job Description
SUMMARY
Cigna Technology Human Resources is seeking an experienced learning professional to support the learning and development strategy and initiatives to develop Technology employees. This position will report to the Technical Training Senior Manager and work closely with business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and learning professionals to gather and analyze learning needs, curate, design, and facilitate learning experiences, and support learning operations in a dynamic and high-performing team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Learning Experience Design & Development
- Support annual and ongoing learning needs identification efforts - gather and interpret learning needs data to aid in prioritizing and delivering learning solutions for technical, professional, and leadership skills development, including but not limited to designing and curating custom learning plans, pathways, and activities
- Research, review, and recommend learning programs, materials, and tools (internal and external)
- Apply instructional design theory and strategies to develop effective learning solutions
Learning Delivery & Measurement
- Perform key role in the development of a learning scorecard to report on learning activity and outcomes
- Support collaborative planning and rollout of learning initiatives, including setting and maintaining the learning calendar, coordinating logistics support as needed, planning and conducting retrospective discussions, and more
- Facilitate learning discussions and events such as roundtable discussions, L&D office hours, focus groups, short skills-building events, and more
- Support Technology Learning & Development communications plan and deliverables
Leadership
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) across the organization, including participating in communities of practice and cross-organizational initiatives, where appropriate
- Successfully lead, and contribute to, several learning projects simultaneously
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external learning partners and vendors
- Manage ambiguity, embrace change, and model a growth mindset, to help others remain focused on goals while striving for continuous improvement
Other
- Participate in and support both strategic and tactical work
- Other duties, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- 8+ years of learning and development experience, including demonstrated experience leading learning projects
- Knowledge of learning science, and instructional design methods and principles (ADDIE, Design Thinking, Agile)
- Demonstrated success in planning and implementing online and in-person learning solutions and events
- Experience working with learning management systems (LMS) and online collaboration platforms (SharePoint, OneNote)
- Strong interviewing/consulting and listening skills to gather requirements and content from multiple sources
- Fosters collaboration, values others' perspectives and gains support to meet organizational goals
- Strong project management skills including planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, reporting status, and delivering results
- Highly proficient with virtual meeting tools (WebEx preferred) and the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - written and verbal; engaging communicator who is action-oriented, creative, and courageous
- Change agile - flexible with the ability to prioritize and work under time constraints and meet project deadlines
- Self-starter that takes initiative and sees challenges as opportunities to make a positive impact
Preferred:
- Proficient in the use of Degreed, SAP SuccessFactors, and Articulate 360
- Proficient in designing effective surveys and using online survey tools (e.g. Verint, Qualtrics)
- Knowledge and experience with team-based (peer-to-peer) learning practices
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred; Masters or certificate in related field (i.e., Training & Development, Learning & Performance, Instructional/Experience Design) a plus
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 97,000 - 161,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
