As the Oracle ERP Cloud Functional Manager, you will lead the delivery of the Oracle ERP Cloud Financial Modules for CarMax. The individual in this role will oversee the entire functional configuration of the Oracle ERP Cloud Financials implementation, partner with the technical manager, work with internal team members and stakeholders ensuring the business processes are designed and meet the business requirements.Te Key responsibilities include helping stakeholders understand leading business processes, creative problem solving to support transformation of the business, lead and coach a small team of functional BSAs to effectively deliver upon objectives, and at times hands on configuration of Oracle Cloud ERP. This individuals' primary responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Research the latest technologies, develop, and enforce standards and best practices, and play a key role in the overall Oracle ERP Cloud solution architecture
- Review business processes, identify gaps and approach the solution in tactical and strategic way
- Understand the customizations done at the program level and articulate the pros and cons of each customization, the value add and related impacts.
- Review Oracle's quarterly release package and educate the business stakeholders how the OOTB feature will benefit the program
- Assisting with the business process review, design, development, E2E integration solutioning and recommend reliable and reusable business application flows that address ERP gaps and related application needs
- Utilize and develop organizational best practices throughout the project lifecycle to deliver systems/applications that meet business and technical requirements.
- Provide expert knowledge of software development, its methodologies, and documentation including requirements analysis, architecture design, project plans, status reporting, process flow diagrams, functional requirements, SOW's, GAP analysis, test plans, training materials, and other items as needed to ensure the success of the program

The individual in this role will oversee the functional work of our implementation providers and internal team members, ensuring the configuration work meets the business requirements and is delivered on time with high quality and within budget. Key responsibilities include overseeing and managing systems analysis, enterprise-level process designs, executing the configuration, partnering on related integrations, testing, and implementation of application, data integrations, conversions and reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required
- Minimum 3 years in a technology leadership role, including associate development
- At least 1 full life-cycle Oracle ERP Cloud implementations, preferably 1 as a leader
- Oracle Cloud Certification in ERP Cloud Modules with a preference in the Financial modules (AR, AP, GL, AM, Projects, etc.)
- Experience in Procurement, Order Management and Inventory Management a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments for you and your team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience exhibiting thought leadership with your stakeholders.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgement
- Should have an understanding of all technical capabilities of SaaS and PaaS as it relates to extensions, integrations and reporting perspective and be able to partner with the integration team on end to end solutions.
- Demonstrated experience leading the definition of systems strategy, gathering and documenting business requirements, leading fit-gap analysis, as-is and to- be business process designs, conference room pilots (CRPs) functional configuration, testing, user training
Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Plano, TX or Richmond, VA CarMax Technology Innovation Center and have a Hybrid work arrangement
