Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.

We a position in the Aftermarket and Sustainment Engineering [ASE] organization, Specific position is in support of Technology Group, within ASE. ASE Technology develops processes and innovations that can be applied to inspect, repair and increase the life of Commercial and Military Engine parts. We have specific needs now for the development of these technologies and also for implementation of these technologies in shops. The group has several teams with Projects funded, such as: Airfoil Restoration, Blade Refurbishment, crack detection, automated inspections, thermography, and Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Track and manage large capital equipment budgets.
  • Develop business cases to prioritize the key technology development plans
  • Tracking and reporting of Technology Project progress.
  • Work with repair business units, aftermarket and engine centers to identify high-cost, labor intense inspection processes
  • Identify key technologies with specific use-cases that will reduce those inspection costs/time while capturing data digitally
  • Assisting the Leads in day-to-day changes in schedule, budget and performance.
  • Role would work on multiple funded Projects and plans for future Projects.
  • As a Project Engineer you would work with the team to use your Project experience to plan and track Projects to achieve optimal efficiency.
  • Present status to Internal and External Customers.
  • Support the repair business units and/or engine centers in deployment of the technologies including data capture
  • Define, procure and install hardware to support automated inspection machines
  • Develop cost savings estimates for the tech data generated through data collected
  • Identify risk and manage risk reduction effort
  • 10% Travel is Anticipated

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality
  • 8 years of engineering experience or 5 years' experience with an advanced degree
  • US citizenship
  • Demonstrated project management and planning skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS Engineering
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Experience in various inspection techniques, automated inspection technology and/or robotics is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships
  • Adaptable, curious and interested in learning
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in working across functions, organizations and management
  • Cost and schedule management experience
  • MS Excel proficiency
  • Results-oriented with good problem-solving skills
  • Possess excellent judgement and professional maturity
  • Analytical skills
  • Participation in process improvement effort
