Overview:
Technology Product Managers are responsible for managing product growth and development, with focus on technical aspects of the project. The TPM will be owners of product suites or may be used on a more ad hoc basis as a subject matter expert able to consult on the more technical aspects of different initiatives. They will meticulously manage specific products or systems that are important to the business while holding a deeper understanding of technical systems. Combined with having a stronger technical background, an ideal TPM will apply the same customer-centric, business-focused mindset to supporting the products as a value-add to the organization. From translating customer needs into requirements to fully overseeing the implementation of technical solutions, the TPM will have oversight of their products end-to-end and bridge the gap between business goals and technical possibilities.

Responsibilities:• Work with Business Analysts, Product Owner and other stakeholders on gathering and understanding project requirements.• Works directly with internal teams, including developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance, and operations in order to ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and create deliverables in different phases of the project lifecycle by decomposing functionality / use cases. • Identify and evaluate the impact of change requests within the business application and all upstream/downstream systems.• Provide internal and customer training on how to use the product• Assess and address technical risks.• Create and review test cases and test plans with the business users. Conduct functional and smoke testing. Track defects and releases.• Use database queries to analyze performance indicators, evaluate experiments• Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation• Answer incoming questions about the product and its capabilities

Qualifications/Requirements:• 5+ years of experience in project management• IT background (preferred: programming/system design)• Experience with SDLC and iterative software development approach (e.g., Scrum)• Experience in data analysis, data model analysis and system impact analysis• Understanding of relational data model and similar concepts• Understanding of design patterns, system architecture and integration• Working experience in project management and reporting tools• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to provide fluent translation between technical and business world • Understanding of Agile methodologies (preferred: Scrum)• Establish priorities with clear goals and responsibilities to achieve a high level of performance.• Communicate and explain business problems as well as technical subjects to various audience• Ability to work independently, develop business knowledge and drive issue resolution.• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.• Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.• Believe in a non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust.• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for entrusted area• Drive to grow in knowledge and understanding of both technical and business matters• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to provide fluent translation between technical and business world• Understanding of Agile methodologies
