Powerhouse Arts is a not-for-profit established to create a robust platform for art production and employment in the arts. Powerhouse Arts’ programming includes education, employment opportunities, and public engagement to increase access and opportunity for participation in the arts for all New Yorkers. For the past six years, Powerhouse has been stewarding the redevelopment of the former Brooklyn Rapid Transit Power Station in Gowanus. We recently relocated to our permanent home which houses fabrication services, production spaces, and member workshops for artisans. We are expanding our team and hiring for key staff roles as we prepare to open to the public in 2023.

Powerhouse is seeking a Technology Systems Product Manager (PM) to focus on the management, support, and administration of all organization-wide systems. This work will involve providing expertise and guidance to the organization on features, capabilities, and best practices. This role will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the organization is fully leveraging each system and will work closely with vendors and partners where appropriate. This role reports to the Co-Executive Director and will work very closely with the Virtual CIO and PH’s Managed Service Provider.

• Zoom + Zoom Rooms, including conf. room tech
• Google
• MS Office

Responsibilities:

• Working across the organization, the PM will support a wide variety of stakeholders in the appropriate use, care, and maintenance of enterprise business systems
• As new needs arise, this role will be expected to represent what’s possible, and should bring new capabilities to the organization as appropriate
• Facilitate and support existing IT Governance process for system selections and resource allocation
• Act as a “business analyst” when new requirements arise for technology systems, leading software selections
• Work with users to develop clear requirements, ensuring that all stakeholders are consulted
• Act as the systems administrator for all enterprise applications. The PM will be expected to:
  • Develop deep expertise in all key systems
  • Provide guidance to staff in the use of all key systems
  • Train and update staff on developing requirements for new capabilities or systems
  • Oversee user management, system updates, invoice management, and database management
  • Daily, weekly, monthly administration of systems
• Act as the point of contact for all system vendor relationships
• Assess the vendor landscape and determine the best way to obtain the needed functionality by either extending the use of current systems, or by obtaining new systems.
• This role is not expected to provide hands-on technical support but may be called on to support staff in the use of the key systems.

• 5-7 years with a successful track record of delivering innovative solutions tailored for business requirements
• Experience in business strategy, business process engineering, technology innovation, and systems definition
• Based in, or willing to, relocate to New York 
• Ability to project manage complex systems implementations
• Outstanding organizational skills including stakeholder management & expectation setting
• Learning-oriented

Compensation & Benefits: Salary range is $75,000-$105,000 and commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, an employer-sponsored retirement plan, generous paid vacation, and a Citibike membership.
