Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Telecom Coordinator to join our DC/Telco team

The Data Center and Telco division is responsible for delivering and maintaining all of Tower’s global data center and network solutions.

Job Description

Tower Research Capital LLC seeks an experienced Telecom Coordinator in our New York office. The DC/Telco division is responsible for providing connectivity to inter and intra-global exchange locations for the transmission of Tower’s trading data. As Telecom Coordinator you will have a unique opportunity to work with Tower’s vendors and be part of commercial discussions; facilitate and coordinate the delivery of Telco services; liaise with internal teams during support and management of these services, and be part of optimization projects related to Data Center and Telecom services

 Responsibilities

The Telecom Coordinator will be responsible for:

• Managing the full delivery lifecycle of new services (circuits, cross-connects, colocation) and ensuring time-sensitive deadlines are met
• Communicating with stakeholders on the status of tasks and workflows; updating internal customers, and setting accurate expectations
• Working with Telco and DC vendors to coordinate deliverables, scheduling testing, manage troubleshooting and validate billing
• Managing the internal databases to accurately reflect service, system, and vendor records
• Monitoring ticketing systems for incoming requests and tasks
• Collaborating with Tower networking and infrastructure teams
• Being the single point of contact for all administrative and operational questions
• Contributing to vendor service reviews
• Supporting large-scale projects and coordinating all aspect related to Telecom
• Identify solutions aligned with business requirements that may:
• Lower costs
• Lower latency
• Identify new carriers or providers emerging in AMER

 Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2-5 years experience in relevant industry (Telecom, Data Provider, Exchange, FinTech)
• Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Engineering, or a related field advantageous
• Experience in managing multiple work streams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills,
• Basic understanding of telecommunications (Ethernet, IP, etc.) and/or data center (power, space, cross-connects)
• Experience with vendor management
• Demonstrated ability for thoroughness, attention to detail, and good judgment
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities at the same time while remaining calm and composed
• This position will require occasional on-call, holiday, night, and/or weekend work to support projects in non-trading hours
