The Telecommunications & AV Engineer position is responsible for designing and supporting KnowBe4โs global AV environment. The environment is made up of webcasting staff meetings, conferencing services, specialized conference rooms, and AV studios. This position will also provide basic support for the enterprise phone services.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, document, maintain and promote AV & conference room environments
- Provide an escalation point for the help desk for engineer level issues on AV and telecommunications, closing incidents and problems within defined SLA
- Act as IT technical lead for all conference room installationsย
- Develop and maintain AV standards, drawings, and documentation
- Ensure effective oversight of AV integrators, partners and vendors on the timely delivery of AV projects
- Be the point of contact for global Zoom Room field installations
- Enhance the reliability of our environment, ensuring continual improvement of existing and future deployments
- Responsible for the Inventory, safe storage and transportation of AV equipment
- Report weekly on conference room environment metrics, deployment progress and other KPIโs
- Development of standard procedures for troubleshooting and deploying AV systems
- Provide support for other telecommunication projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience as AV engineerย
- Experience with AV and conference room technology across multiple vendors and technologies
- Example vendors: Zoom, Logitech, Microsoft, Polycom.ย
- Example technologies: Video conferencing, audio conferencing, webcasting, HDMI/VGA, control systems, DSP
- Certification(s) in AV, CTS a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and result-oriented
- A problem solver that can troubleshoot and diagnose issues within all portions of the AV ecosystem
- Ability to travel to sites as required
- Basic knowledge of computers
- Experience working within Mac, Windows, ChromeOS environments
- Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to details.
- Ability to operate effectively in a team environment with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Strong customer service and orientation in execution
- Ability to manage time effectively and set priorities appropriately in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment
