HOW YOU WILL SOAR:
This position is responsible for a variety of processes that are supported within the Operations -Reporting & Reconciliation Team. This position will lead the Escheatment process filing which occurs on a semi-annual basis and will be responsible for the maintenance of permissions for current software. This position is also responsible for, but not limited to, validating settlements/allocations, obtaining bank account and trust accounting system balances and activity, reconciling, auditing and/or approving transactions, follow-up on outstanding items and sending escalations. In addition, work with multiple departments for additional communications to be sent to clients during non-escheatment filing months.
  • Serve as the SME on the semi-annual escheatment process which includes, but is not limited to preparing the initial file, working with internal groups to review client contact, updating the final file and ensuring that the accounts are distributed
  • Communicate with vendors and internal business units regarding escheatment timelines and inquires
  • Document and create procedures, training pieces and informational material as required
  • Escalate requests as appropriate to correct team members
  • Obtain the balance and activity for the various banks daily.
  • Obtain the appropriate reports from the trust accounting system for reconciling daily.
  • Analyze and reconcile the various bank account balances and activity to the trust accounting system balances and activity on a daily basis.
  • Contact internal clients as necessary to obtain required documentation for reconciling.
  • Maintain all reconciling documentation in a secure location for retention.
  • Notify each department of current reconciling items assigned to them for review and adjustment to ensure timely correction
  • Ensure that all processing consistently meets established service levels, policies and procedures and complete with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Assist in the development and revision of policies and procedures with emphasis on internal controls
  • Other duties as assigned

  • 1-3 years of business experience in a corporate environment
  • Ability to be a team player and support the team
  • Be proactive, analytical, and able to problem-solve and propose resolutions
  • Operate efficiently with a high degree of accuracy
  • Possess excellent follow up skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task and complete tasks within specified timelines
  • Detail-oriented, organized and dependable
  • Working knowledge of trust accounting systems, IRAs, alternative assets and system permissions
  • General knowledge of IRA rules and tax regulations and experience
  • Ability to work overtime
