Temporary Colleges List Writer and Reporter

Forbes is looking to hire inquisitive college students, recent graduates or graduate students to help put together Forbes’ annual rankings of America’s best colleges. This position will focus on reporting and writing compelling, concise bios for each college on our list. This position will begin in mid-June and continue through August, though dates are flexible. It is a paid position, with the opportunity to write and report original education stories for Forbes.com. 

Responsibilities include:

• Contacting colleges and universities to update information on their Forbes bio page
• Writing sharp, compelling bios that highlight unique aspects of each institution on our list
• Fact-checking and updating existing bio information
• Uploading edited bios into the Forbes database
• Collecting updated photos from each institution and uploading them into Forbes’ image database
• Generating story ideas to report, write and publish alongside the completed list

Requirements:

• Comfort contacting college and university leadership
• An ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time and to meet consistent deadlines
• Strong writing and reporting skills
• Flexibility and an interest to pitch in where needed

The hourly rate for this role is $24.00 - $24.00
