Forbes is seeking a Payroll Coordinator who will assist in the monthly responsibilities of the payroll department.  This role will report into the Payroll Director.

This is a contract position with potential for full-time employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the Director of Payroll to ensure accurate operations of the payroll functions with minimal errors
  • Ensure accurate processing of semi-monthly payrolls for over 500 employees using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Collect pay data for processing, including new hires, terminations, changes, commission payment coordinate with Human Resources regarding personnel changes.
  • Process child support and garnishment orders
  • Coordinate with employees, department managers, Human Resources, and Finance & Accounting staff to resolve payroll-related issues as they arise
  • Assist year-end payroll reporting and preparation of W-2 forms
  • Assist with various audits and provide information to auditors as needed
  • Assist in updating data that feeds into the payroll forecast in Workday Adaptive.

Qualifications

  • Payroll experience, ADP a plus.
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years payroll experience required; experience processing multi-state payroll preferred
  • Current knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding payroll
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Must possess problem-solving and analytical skills, initiative, and the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple deadlines
  • Ability to handle confidential material and communicate with various levels of management
