We are on the hunt for a Tenable Vulnerability Management Engineer who will work within the Engineering team executing business as usual (BAU) activities to run the Tenable Vulnerability Management platform (formerly Tenable.io) and day-to-day business operations. This is a hands-on technical role but also requires interfacing and working closely with external stakeholders and understanding their pain points. 

We are open to full-time, contractors or contract to perm. This is a 100% remote position. Atlanta-based preferred but not required.

DUTIES:

  • Plan and run the Tenable Vulnerability Management program
  • Provide Tenable SME advisory to clients 
  • Ensuring health of the Tenable platform (scanners, scans, agents, etc.)
  • Executing weekly BAU activities (breadth of coverage, authentication success, scan coverage, etc.)
  • Taking action on any issues identified from the BAU activities
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of information technology systems, business processes, security regulatory risk management and security vulnerabilities
  • Understand clients' business environment and basic IT risk management approaches
  • Generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo
  • Build and nurture positive working relationships with clients with the intention to exceed client expectations
  • Facilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services

REQUIRED:

  • 4+ years hands-on experience with Tenable Vulnerability Management platform performing scanning, report generation, and data analysis
  • Experience/familiarity with vulnerability remediation processes, including prioritization, change management, analysis, and triage
  • Understanding of networking technologies and concepts (routing, switching, network segmentation, etc.)
  • Ability to perform information systems security vulnerability scanning to discover and analyze vulnerabilities and characterize risk to networks, operating systems, applications, database, and other information system components
  • Demonstrated ability to write business and technical reports and to participate in presentations
  • Automation or scripting experience with Python and/or ability to integrate tools
  • Ability to be self-motivated and demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
  • Works well under pressure, can meet tight deadlines, and is committed to work as and when required to complete projects
