- We are seeking a seasoned Terraform Architect to join our dynamic team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using Terraform to ensure scalable, efficient, and reliable infrastructure provisioning.
- This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of cloud architecture to drive automation and innovation within our infrastructure management practices.
- Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and Implementation: Architect and implement scalable, resilient, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions using Terraform. Develop modules and templates to automate the provisioning of cloud resources.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Management: Lead the development and management of IaC practices, ensuring consistency, traceability, and security across all infrastructure deployments.
- Collaboration and Guidance: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate Terraform solutions into the CI/CD pipeline. Provide guidance and mentorship on best practices in infrastructure automation.
- Code Review and Optimization: Conduct code reviews to ensure high quality, optimize resource utilization, and adhere to security guidelines. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to ensure performance and security standards.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure architectures, deployment procedures, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain Terraform modules and scripts to automate the deployment and configuration of infrastructure.
- Work with stakeholders and develop Terraform configurations to migrate workloads.
- Lead the development and implementation of best practices for cloud infrastructure and security.
- Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure.
- Required Mandatory Skills
- Expertise in Terraform: In-depth knowledge of Terraform syntax, workflow, state management, and module development.
- Cloud Platforms: Strong experience with major cloud service providers and their services.
- CI/CD Tools: Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous deployment tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Version Control: Solid understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
- Scripting and Automation: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.
- Required industry experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in a cloud engineering role, with at least 3 years focused on using Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, work under deadlines, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail in composing, keying, and proofing professional business materials.
- Articulate with ability to express oneself clearly and professionally in written and oral communication.
- Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities.
- Excellent written communication skills with ability to compose professional business communications via email, letter, and proposals.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to present professional demonstrations.
- Required Technical experience.
- Must be highly skilled in Infrastructure components and scripting.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud infrastructure architectures.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices, policies, and procedures. Experience with implementing compliance standards within cloud deployments.
- Understanding of cloud networking concepts, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Experience with tools and practices for monitoring, logging, and analyzing infrastructure performance.
