We are seeking a Territory Manager to join our team of talented people to help continue our tradition of innovation and market leadership.
In the Territory Manager role, you will sell products and services direct to end users and through distribution channels. You will be responsible for establishing a territory plan to effectively manage the channel and grow sales.
How You Will Make a Positive Impact:

  • Work the Territory Sales Plan while meeting or exceeding the established quota while remaining within your territory spending budget
  • Develop and implement a territory strategy which encompasses maintaining existing business
  • Update and maintain end user data in available company computer systems on a real time basis
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the base of end users within your territory
  • Maintain excellent business relationships with end users and distributors while understanding which end users are served through BMS distributors
  • Maintain excellent customer satisfaction by making professional presentations, detailed follow up, strong communication, and prompt problem resolution
  • Meet with customers in person, and via Teams/Zoom calls to positively cultivate existing and new customer relationships to increase sales and revenue for the company
  • Design and recommend sales programs, while setting short- and long-term sales strategies to achieve goals
  • Evaluate and implement appropriate new sales techniques to increase the region's sales volume

The Value You Bring:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proven sales experience in sales operations, sales management, or related roles within industrial manufacturing-ideally in the timber processing industry
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of wood industry; sawmill, panelboard, and paper industries
  • Position requires keen financial acumen and understanding of sales methodologies, customer relationship management, and sales analytics
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills with the ability to articulate data analysis to a diverse audience
  • Results driven with ability to manage multiple priorities with highly effective follow-through skills
  • Demonstrated negotiation, persuasive communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Resilience with a proven track record in reaching sales goals
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable sales strategies
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
  • Analytical and organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proven track record of prior goal achievement showing increase in sales and customer growth
  • Must have current driver s license and maintain said license in good standing
