Purpose of role:

The main role of the Territory Sales Representative (TSR) is to manage a designated postcode territory within the country of focus to deliver new agent growth alongside overall net revenue growth for the allocated territory. This will include (but not limited to) expanding the Small World network of agents by presenting our Company as a business opportunity to independent businesses, demonstrating an understanding and appreciation of their requirements to sign them as new agents and assessing their potential to be productive Small World agents.​ Account managing these newly signed agent locations to generate transaction growth alongside account management of the overall territory to deliver net revenue growth.The TSR will have the overall responsibility of developing, retaining and managing a portfolio of businesses which will act as agents in their respective territory.


Role details:

- Responsible for presenting Small World to potential agents and managing the entire sales process from identifying prospects, cold calling, face to face meetings, conducting presentations and user demonstrations to ensure the signing, set up and training of the prospective agent

- Use solid financial and business acumen to demonstrate the value of the service proposition to the prospective agent

- Ensure internal communication is effective, specifically ensuring that all departments are provided with the right information to set up the new agent in a timely manner (credit, sales support etc) via usage of the Monday.com platform

- Provide the agents with standard Point of Sale material, branding, system, and compliance training to reach the maximum potential from the location

- Develop strong relationships with agents to ensure long-term loyalty to the Company

- Grow the volume of transactions generated by new agents in the TSR’s portfolio by being a visible presence in the marketplace (including implementing local marketing plans when necessary)

- Grow the net revenue generated within the territory by being a visible presence in the marketplace (including implementing local marketing plans when necessary)

- Work with Country Manager and, where relevant, the Head of Sales to determine the support needed from the Telesales team to to support the above new agent acquisition

- Ensure agent locations are branded appropriately and have the required marketing collateral to support transaction growth within the identified corridors

- Continuously assessing the remittance market within the designated territoty and proposing new initiatives and campaigns to drive transactions and revenue for the agreed key focus corridors

- Responsible for responding to requested information from the company and agents in a timely manner

- Actively demonstrate an understanding of SW operations and systems

- Support the company in promoting our services at events, acting in a professional manner with the aim to gain new business leads and contacts

- Keeping abreast of issues affecting money transfer companies and the money transfer industry, and collecting specifically agreed corridor competitor intelligence


Person Specification:

- Previous Door to Door or Business to Business sales experience would be an advantage, including Account Management experience, ideally in the money transfer industry

- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems

- Strong Account Management experience – ability to develop strong relationships with agent partners to drive long term growth

- Ability to build agent’s enthusiasm to drive sales

- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and drive long term value

- Fluency in Dutch and English and, ideally, Spanish and Arabic to support primary Send corridors

- Flexibility to travel nationally as per requirements

- Strong work ethic

- Work on own initiative and under pressure

- Strong organisation skills, including the ability to coordinate actions with other team colleagues

- Have excellent communication, both written and verbal

- Ability to adapt delivery method to suit audience
