Test Automation Engineer

OVERVIEW

The Test Automation Engineer will be a core member of eClinical Solutions. The Test Automation Engineer will be primarily responsible for managing software quality assurance (SQA) for performing testing services includes defining and implement test automation strategy, testing roadmap & tools and delivering the services within acceptable service evaluations. You shall act as a subject matter expert (SME) in automation testing and provide expertise to diversified projects.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will be handling end to end testing activities including planning, scripting, execution, and defect management. Wherein, you will prepare test plans and detailed test scripts supporting test cases derived from an analysis of functional requirements and specifications.
• You will look at the possibilities for automating test cases within the project boundaries and identify test scenarios for automation.
• You will drive the creation, enhancement, debugging, and running the test cases and you will be responsible for thoroughly testing software to ensure intended operation and uncover defects prior to implementation.
• Involvement in product design to ensure adherence of test coverage for meeting end user requirements will be a key responsibility.
• Pro-actively co-ordinate and collaborate with different stake holders for different stages of development life cycle of the project.
• Ensure technical & testing documentation is kept up to date and audit ready
• You will be organizing, monitoring defect management process handling changes and conducting regression tests.
• Implement applicable test methodologies.
• Assist QA team with managing defects/features and associated metrics
• Assist QA team with developing, implementing & maintaining SQA process and procedures
• Highlight and suggest test process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with eClinical Solutions/industry quality standards, regulations, guidelines and other procedures.
• Other duties as assigned

CANDIDATE’S PROFILE

Education & Experience

• Bachelor or Master of Engineering, preferably from Computer Science and/or equivalent.
• Excellent written and oral communication in English

Professional Skills

• 3-5 years’ experience in QA Testing for Agile projects (regulated industry experience a plus).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in automation on web application using Selenium for agile projects.
• Minimum of 3 years testing distributed software applications (preferably web front-end and data base back-end on Microsoft technologies – i.e. ASP, .NET, SQL Server).
• Hands on experience in Software Programming in C#, Core Java and SQL.
• Exposure to BDD, Specflow, Cucumber
• Strong Software Development Lifecycle experience – experience developing and executing SQA documentation from design to release (Agile methodology experience is a plus).
• Experience in defect management.
• Identifying the risk and issues and getting them highlighted at the earliest.
• Strong technical project management experience and team leadership skills including scope management, and work planning.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and use of defect/feature management systems.
• Proven ability to work independently and with technical team members.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working experience in JIRA is preferable.

• Databases: SQL, Oracle
• Automation Skills: Selenium with C# or Java
