Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM is seeking to hire an experienced software test automation engineer. You will be part of an elite team that works assuring the performance quality of one of the top storage solution offerings at IBM.
You will rely on test automation development skills to improve and scale the current automation infrastructure used to execute intensive testing you’ll get to know the product itself and working very close with Hardware as well.
As automation engineer you’ll also be responsible to track the automated test execution troubleshoot any failures and raise defect tickets.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
The main skills we’re looking for the candidates applying to this position are

• Test automation (Perl Python Bash)
• Experience using Automation and Reporting tools (Jira GitHub Jenkins etc)
• General testing (troubleshooting defects raising and tracking reporting etc)
• Linux command line knowledge
• Agile development methodology
• Great team player
• Proactive and self-directed
• Autodidact

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Storage concepts knowledge (storage solutions arrays replication backup etc)
• Networking knowledge (LAN Fiber and/or Ethernet networks)
• Systems Admin (Servers setup multiple operative systems knowledge switches configurations virtual machines)
