Test Automation Engineer (SDET)

We are seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer (SDET) with expertise in Cypress. 

What you’ll do:

As a Test Automation Engineer (SDET), you will build a deep understanding of the business domain and processes within the Axio360 product and work closely with team to define test strategies and create automated tests that provide deep but efficient product health feedback. You will be working with developers and QA to understand current test coverage, identify additional opportunities for automation, and ultimately own and maintain our automated regression tests. 

Preferred experience:

• 2+ years demonstrable, hands on experience writing test automation with Cypress/javascript
• 4+ years as an Automation Engineer/SDET
• 5+ years as a QA Engineer embedded within an agile team, conducting both manual and automated testing
• Experience with all phases of software testing including test planning, functional testing, and regression testing
• Ability to deep-dive into a domain space and fully understand complexities and nuances of every use case
• Working knowledge of basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and working with browser developer tools
• Strong documentation authoring and communication skills
• Highly tuned attention to detail and a desire to find every defect
• Ability to think creatively and find new ways to break software

Nice to have:

• Prior experience working in a software engineering role
• Experience with CI/CD
• Experience with API testing
• Experience with performance and load testing
• Experience working in a startup environment 

Bonus skills:

•  Background in statistics, economics, or mathematics
•  Experience in cybersecurity and/or insurance industries
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker or Public Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP)
