JOB SUMMARY: The Quality Assurance Manager organizes and sets the direction of the QA team. They oversee functional testing and assists with the implementation of a centralized testing center. The Software Quality Assurance Manager leads a team of QA engineers. The responsibilities of the candidate and their team will involve functional, regression, end-to-end, and client testing. This role will involve testing for many large and complex projects and programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develops and maintains QA lifecycle management strategy and operational plans assuring quality and reliability of systems and services.
- Helps to set the direction and plan for test automation maturity
- Performs product analysis to understand the requirements from the perspective of completion, testability and ease of understanding.
- Performs test results analysis post execution of testing and provide feedback on areas of improvements in test coverage.
- Performs defect trends analysis during and post release and provides detailed report on risks and lessons learned.
- Provides or oversees estimate creation for new projects based on QA lifecycle.
- Review Test Strategies for all the projects in portfolio based on organization standards and best practices.
- Manages and leads direct reports establishing timely and challenging performance standards, providing ongoing feedback.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for all testing deliverables from the QA team to any project, or initiative
- Participates in the career development of staff, acting as a positive role model and mentor.
- Provide insight on process and product quality assurance compliance.
- Own processes and best-practices on the following topics:
- Test strategy, test planning & test management
- Quality management and continuous improvement
- Product integration and coordination improvements
- Voice of Customer

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree (Computer Science preferred) plus 8 - 10 + years of relevant work experience with a deep understanding of quality assurance; understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery a plus.
- Understanding of QA principles and best practices in areas such as BDD, test automation, API testing
- Strong knowledge of test automation required
- Prior management experience required
- Familiarity with practices in areas of security and performance testing recommended
- Knowledge of data migration testing practices and tools strongly recommended
- Experience with Microsoft Test Manager, TFS, and Selenium tools a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Typical noise levels for an open, cubicle-styled environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires periods of standing, walking, and the use of computer equipment. Additional physical demands include, but may not be limited to, talking or hearing, push/pull, stooping, kneeling, reaching w/hands and arms, and lifting at least 10 pounds.
