Test Data Operations Manager

Supernal is looking for a Test Data Operations Manager to join our team in Irvine California. This position requires comprehensive management of employees performing engineering and technical work in the area of test installations and architecture, along with the offboard test data lifecycle management. This includes requirements specific to test installations, design of test installations, supplier management of test parts procurement, fabrication and assembly, test article installation design planning, and design and implementation of the offboard test data processing, archival, and analysis tool set. The applicant will be responsible to develop and implement project and process plans, implement polices and procedures, and set operational goals.

• Establish Supernal process and procedures for designing, implementing and maintaining airborne and ground-based data acquisition systems
• Establish process and procedures for ground based and airborne telemetry systems, flight test control room, data processing, analysis and storage
• Develop and engage employees through coaching, mentoring, and employee performance assessment, as well as identifying growth opportunities and assignment that best fit the needs of the individual and the company
• Develops and manages relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers and peers
• Provides guidance and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
• A minimum of ten (10) years supporting flight test or similar test programs (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
• A minimum of five (5)+ years of experience in managerial of team lead role
• In-depth knowledge of data acquisition and record systems
• Proven knowledge of data processing and storage methods and systems
• Experience with various sensors and airborne test systems used in the support of flight test
• Knowledge of test methods and lab procedures
• Knowledge of Mil Standards, Digital Busses architecture (ARINC, 1553)
• Strong digital literacy: Microsoft Office products
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints

• Experience using relational data base with some programming skills, SQL, VB, C++, .NET preferred
