As a Test Engineering on the Engineering Services team, you'll get to collaborate with the Product Development team and work cross-functionality with our Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, and Marketing teams to test and improve our spine implants and surgical instruments. You'll leverage your previous classroom and internship experiences into actionable projects where you can provide solutions to a variety of technical problems focused on improving spine products. You'll gain experience in product testing, documentation, standards, and manufacturing, along with the ability to apply what you learned in school about material science, product design, and FEA.

Your key responsibilities

• Create CAD models and detailed engineering drawings using Creo to modify/maintain existing test fixtures and support new product designs.
• Perform and present test data in accordance with FDA, ISO, and ASTM requirements to commercialize medical implant & instrument systems.
• Provide technical analysis of test data to improve product designs.
• Work with Product Development team to ensure testing meets project objectives.
• Collaborate with internal teams, design surgeons, and manufacturers to uphold project plans and achieve project objectives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Who you are

• Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited program.
• 0-2 years of previous experience in engineering.
• CAD drafting and modeling using Pro-E, Creo, SolidWorks, or similar.
• Ability to execute test protocols to produce relevant product
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and through written correspondence with all levels of peers and leadership at SeaSpine, surgeons, suppliers, etc.
• Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work creatively, prioritize and accomplish team goals and initiatives amidst competing priorities.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to problem solve and identify solutions in a high-growth and fast pace environment.
