In anticipation of project funding, Torch Technologies, a 100% Employee-owned company, is currently seeking qualified test engineer professionals with a minimum of 10 years' experience to support software testing and test procedure development work for the Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) at Detroit Arsenal, MI. Initial tasking will be supporting a ground vehicle program in a GVSC Software-in-the-loop (SIL) integrating operational hardware and software platforms and sub-systems into a larger test to support product development, assessment, and integration into the Army Ground Vehicle Enterprise. A well-suited applicant will be a self-motivated individual capable of working independently and within a multi-disciplinary team with contractors and government employees. They must also possess good oral and written communication skills. Candidate will sit on site with the customer at GVSC. This position has the potential to grow into a Software Test Engineer Lead

Job Requirements
Job Duties
Job duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Reviewing current testing specifications defined by OEM
- Collecting data regarding specified vehicle platform for test case development
- Managing execution of software test scripting design and integration process in the lab to include workflow and assignment of duties.
- Ensuring software team compliance with product and lab best practices
- Debugging issues with existing code bases
- Development of automated testing processes and supporting toolsets
Qualified candidates will have direct experience with the following:
- Experience with Software Testing and Integration
- Planning software testing activities, including timelines are resource estimations
- Driving software test execution and tracking software testing results
- Ensuring traceability of software design
- Assessments of current test procedures developed by OEM
- Test procedure development in relation to new vehicle specification
- Provide technical information and documentation
- Product development experience and knowledge
- Working with team-based Hardware and Software Development and Configuration Management Tools
- Hardware and Software Integration
- Hardware and Software interface testing
- Oversight of the software design process
- Re-engineering, T&E, or related experience with DoD Ground and weapon platforms is a plus
- B.S. or greater in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical discipline is required. Relevant graduate degrees will be given preference.
- Computer Programming (C#, C++, Python, Java, VBA. LabView and PLC a plus)
- Exposure to sensors, sensing equipment, and data acquisition systems
- Knowledge of automotive CAN experience a plus
- Ability to utilize oscilloscopes, meters, waveform generators and other general electronic lab equipment.
- Success in solving challenging technical problems in a team environment
- Ability to communicate technical subjects in a clear, concise manner to multiple levels of the organization
- Success in directly or indirectly leading a team or supplier to meet technical specifications, cost, timing, and performance objectives.
- 10+ years of software and firmware design
- 10+ years of experience within at Testing | Test Environment
- Previous experience in a Software Testing, Test Plan | Case Development area will be given preference
- Candidate must be a U.S Citizen
- Duty Station - Detroit Arsenal
- This position requires the candidate meet requirements to obtain a final secret security clearance to access classified information. Inability to obtain a secret clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
