Test Engineer

We seek a well-qualified individual to join our talented team in an entry-level role as a Test Engineer. Based in our Torrington, Connecticut location, you will manage equipment product lifecycles by testing for product quality, sustainability, and specifications maintainability. You will influence product commercialization through technical problem-solving, testing, and executing design verifications and product validations. Additionally, you will:

• Manage New Product Introductions (NPIs) by authoring engineering reports, and presenting feasibility conclusions against specifications
• Troubleshoot by analyzing components, diagnosing failures, and offering solutions to engineering and quality teams
• Mitigate new product quality and manufacturability risks by facilitating design failure mode analysis (DMFEA) processes, then documenting lessons learned
• Lead the validation of new products by following Design Verification Plan and Reporting (DVP&R) processes
• Manage quality standards and controls through hands-on product engineering, and implementing test processes, procedures, and documentation standards
• Develop companywide product expertise by training non-engineering personnel in assembly, equipment capabilities and limitations, and troubleshooting techniques

Requirements

You should have:

• 1+ year in a test engineer role or equivalent
• Significant hands-on experience with ERP systems, JD Edwards E1 preferred
• Experience writing technical reports
• Experience with stage-gate methodologies and DFMEA
• Experience with electromechanical assemblies and manufacturing
• Detail orientation and strong analytical skills; ability to communicate well /coatings.

Salary Range: $75,800-$88,700

Dymax takes the compensation of its employees very seriously and considers several factors when determining the total compensation package including but not limited to location, market range, skills, knowledge, experience, and abilities. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Dymax salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range.
