Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).
What you will learn and contribute to
Nokia of America Corporation, Test Engineer, IODT (Multiple Positions), Dallas, TX. Support Nokia's 5G and LTE products including driving the device interoperability development testing with key chipset vendors. Create program plans, test plans, and test reports to ensure testing capability meets Nokia requirements, including reviews/analysis of feature specifications. Perform inter-operability testing with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)/Chipset vendors in the Nokia lab and if needed in the customer lab. Install, commission, and integrate 5G BTS and 4G eNB in test environment. Analyze logs and troubleshoot problems from the field and customer lab. Perform Fault replication in Nokia labs of issues reported from customer lab and field. Provide remote and on-site support to 5G customers' lab and field activities. Perform lab maintenance, which includes evaluating test tools and test equipment needed prior to each release, upgrading NEs, and building/expanding workstations and 5G gNB/4G eNBs as needed. Provide training to team members on new features/test equipment. Provide technical support/training to other teams as needed. #LI-DNI
Your skills and experience
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field, and 5 years of post-Bachelor's, progressive related work experience. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Implementation of 3GPP standards based 5G, 4G, 3G, and 2G RAN and Core Network element on 3GPP Standards-based devices to establish interoperability of the complete Mobile Network System; Analyzing User Equipment (UE) and Network side logs to troubleshoot issues and facilitate issue resolution; LTE and 5G RRM features; L1, L2, and L3 RRC (Radio Resource Control) protocol; and Protocol troubleshooting using Wireshark (5G and 4G), TTI (Transmission Time Interval), Trace analyzer, QXDM/QCAT (Qualcomm), XCAL (External Calibrator), and Network protocol analyzer.
SALARY: $128,565.00 - $187,720.00 per year
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)
