The team you'll be part of

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

What you will learn and contribute to

Nokia of America Corporation, Test Engineer, IOT (Multiple Positions), Dallas, TX. Test and report for assigned test cases. Plan test cases including reviews and analysis of feature specifications. Conduct test specification work including creating, updating, and reviewing test documents. Perform test cases in NOKIA lab and in the customer lab. Conduct fault investigation and reporting which includes cooperation with other teams. Analyze logs and troubleshoot technical problems from the field and customer lab. Provide remote and on-site support to NOKIA Test Teams on site and in customer's lab. Evaluate test tools and test equipment needed prior to each release. Provide training to team members on new features and test equipment as needed. Consult, support, and guide team members. Provide technical support and training to other teams as needed. #LI-DNI

Your skills and experience

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences or a related field, and two years of related work experience. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences or a related field, and five years of post-Bachelor's, progressive related work experience.

Must have gained at least 2 years of work experience with each of the following:

• 5G NR and 4G LTE 3GPP radio network technology;
• 5G and 4G RAN products and RAN features;
• Integrating, commissioning and testing 5G and 4G RAN products;
• Log analysis tools including EMIL, BTS Site Manager, BTS Log, Wireshark (5G and 4G), /Luashark, Component Trace, Sherpa and tti Trace Analyzer;
• 3rd party Log analysis tools including QXDM, XCAL, and ELT;
• Analyzing logs for troubleshooting and verifying 5G and 4G logs;
• Facilitating UE and NW side troubleshooting and issue resolution between 5G and 4G mobile infrastructure and 5G and 4G mobile systems;
• Conducting technical discussion from 5G and 4G RAN implementation based on 3GPP standards during the course of interoperability testing and troubleshooting work;
• Implementation and Interworking of RAN NW and OEM Device side;
• Implementation of 3GPP standards based on 5G, 4G, 3G, 2G and 3GPP RAN standards; and
• Establishing the interoperability of the complete mobile NW system by use of Core NW element and its interaction with the 3GPP standards- based device.

Travel up to 5% required.

SALARY: $113,336 - $210,482 per year

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)
