The Product Safety, Certification & Validation Test Engineering Organization is seeking a highly motivated, creative, energetic, hands-on ground Master Technician to support experimental military and commercial jet engine test activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of validation programs, testing, and instrumentation requirements for engine development. Possess ability to work under pressure in a high paced environment.
  • Work in a team environment to ensure test operations readiness and flawless execution of test vehicle plan, tests and inspections.
  • He/she will interface with CIPTs and Systems engineers to ensure test requirements are being met on time and within budget.
  • Provide innovative solutions to test requirements, often in a high-pressure environment while working with minimum supervision.

  • Provide technical direction and daily task coordination, cross functional team leadership, troubleshooting, test stand direction, and execution of developmental and endurance testing.
  • Support programs including but not limited to F119, F135, APU, Advanced and Geared Turbofan.

Basic Qualifications:
  • AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10+ years' of relevant experience.
  • Certification may be required for technical support roles.
  • Experience with jet engine hardware, assembly, instrumentation and/or testing.
  • Working knowledge of gas turbine engines.
  • Working knowledge of test equipment and instrumentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills required to prioritize actions and manage multiple activities.
  • Experience with continuous improvement processes.
  • Flexibility to adapt to fluid customer requirements, priorities, and schedules.
  • Frequent off-shift coverage and ability to flex schedule to cover weekends is required to support 24/7 test operations.
  • Position requires periodic travel to offsite test locations within the United States (TN, FL, etc.) and occasional travel to test sites around the world.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level security clearance.
  • US Citizenship due to government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Airframe and Power Plant Certification or equivalent military training.
  • 15+ years' industry or military experience and engine test/hush house experience.
