What We Need:
Brady Corporation is looking for a Test Engineering Manager to lead a talented team of Test Engineers and Technicians responsible for the validation of Brady's printing systems and materials. This role will support new product development (NPD) as well as maintenance of current product lines for the Systems and Materials R D organizations. This position is accountable for the development and creation of design validation plans, and for creating test strategies and test plans which will ensure product requirements are met for Brady products. The Test Engineering Manager plans and directs the activities of the test team, coordinating and prioritizing work items, while also improving test processes and procedures.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Oversee the development of test strategies to ensure quality, functionality and performance of printers and materials
- Work hand-in-hand with R D, manufacturing, and marketing teams to develop cost-effective test strategies and test plans to mitigate risks
- Coach and mentor engineers and technicians, including providing career development planning and opportunities
- Assign and manage resources to support project priorities
- Develop and document test processes, standards and best practices as needed
- Identify and facilitate training needs within the team
- Work together with product teams to resolve issues to support product launch plans
- Understand measurement tools and techniques, and make recommendations for measurement equipment as needed
- Oversee management of printer test labs, equipment, and calibration schedules
- Responsible for all duties needed to maintain test lab printers, PC's and software
- Support team by directly testing as needed to meet deadlines

What You'll Need To Be Successful:
- BS Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 6 years of experience with quality, reliability, and testing
- Demonstrated capability to plan and prioritize multiple projects with varying time-frames and levels of importance
- Experience in design validation and design qualification
- Experience working with cross functional engineering teams
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong statistical toolset - such as design of experiments, data analysis, and reliability analysis
- Experience in new product development quality and testing for electro-mechanical devices
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with industrial products
- Experience supervising direct reports
