About the role

Bluecurrent (formerly Vector Metering) is a leading provider of innovative smart metering services and solutions in New Zealand and Australia. As a B2B company, we partner with leading energy retailers and distributors in New Zealand and Australia. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Test Lead to join the high performing full stack agile DevOps team. In this role you will be responsible for the design and the implementation of the quality control of software solutions. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Helping to deliver solutions through the practice of Behaviour Driven Development and Test-Driven Development, as well as other best quality control practices. 
• Defining and articulating acceptance criteria.
• Coaching mentoring and helping upskill the other members of the team.
• Guiding and helping drive the quality of business outcomes with the team. 
• Work within an agile DevOps team to understand business requirements and translate them into working software.
• Applies quality control best practices (i.e. test early, shift the test to left.)
• Understanding and support of OWASP secure principles.
• Supports software in production to minimize downtime and customer impact.

Who we are looking for

To be successful in this role, you will be ISTQB certified (in at least foundation level) and will have other relevant experience (ideally 8-10 years). Your communication, relationship building and influencing skills will also be excellent with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with all stakeholders.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is essential in the following

• ERP space, specifically working with Finance, HR, and Supply Chain functions
• Strong understanding of Dynamics F&SCM modules and their integrations using e.g. Azure API management or Postman
• Azure DevOps Test Management (Test Suites, Test Plans, Test cases) is essential

You will also ideally bring:

• the ability to perform and lead software testing at a project or programme level.
• the ability to apply software testing principles and best practices. 
• an understanding of testing frameworks – i.e. Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber.
• knowledge and understanding of the benefit of Behaviour Driven Development and Test-Driven Development.
• an understanding of OWASP Top 10 web application security risk.
• previous experience working in an agile environment.
• Preferred but not essential
  • Experience with RSAT
  • Previous SAP to D365 migration project experience
