Test Manager

We are looking for a new colleague in the Engineering Department at our Lafayette, IN location. The Test Manager will be working with cutting-edge technologies that will be pivotal in pushing autonomous driving forward within the Commercial Vehicle division, with focus on our steering systems product line. We are looking for a passionate individual to coordinate the validation programs within an R&D lab and lead communication between our customers, product development and validation teams.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and track test content within commercial steering projects (both autonomous and conventional)
• Lead and own all testing-related engineering activities within the sub-project testing
• Represent the project to stakeholders (test domains, customer, quality and parent project)
• Requirement based development of test and validation plans
• Responsible that the sub-project engineering deliverables are delivered in time, cost and quality according to the sub-project milestones
• Contact person for internal and external customers regarding test and validation topics
• Recommend maturity level and allowed usage of products based on test results
• Document, interpret and summarize test results
• Planning of test infrastructure incl. test stands, measurement equipment, actuators or fixtures
• Responsible for QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) for all testing activities - both vehicle and lab test

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering
• A minimum of 5years of experience in automotive engineering (testing preferred)
• Knowledge of ISO26262, ASPICE and "V" Cycle development approach (preferred)
• Knowledge in Req and test mgmt. systems - PTC/DOORS/other (preferred)
• Knowledge in requirements in project management experience (preferred)
