Test Measurement Engineer

Major Responsibilities:
Participate and lead in the concept development of Test and Data collections vehicle prototypes and measurement technology setups
Calibration of ADAS sensors as well as configuration and adaptation of measurement technology
Support with the mechanical and electrical setup of Test and Demo vehicle prototypes
Test and FOT Vehicle updates (hardware and software)
Coordinating and management of Vehicle build suppliers
Work with purchasing to acquire test equipment, test vehicle and test service quotes
Create and Track the status of ZF Job routers for the purpose acquiring test services or equipment
Create and maintain Vehicle build diagram and schematics
Job requirements
Minimum education Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
3+ years of automotive systems engineering experience
2+ years of professional experience in the field of measurement technology or vehicle diagnostics in the automotive environment or on instrumenting test equipment's
Knowledge in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems or in Vehicle E/E Architecture
Ability to understand functional architectures, design and technical specification sheets
Experience with trace and data recording (i.e. Vector)
Experience with hardware for vehicle electronics as well as confident handling of diagnostic tools
Knowledge in the common Bus interfaces (e.g. CAN, FlexRay, CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, LIN etc.) is needed
Complete all necessary reports and records related to the department as required
Perform spot check at vehicle level before delivery of parts and SW release to customer.
Able to debug vehicle issues and setup measurement systems on vehicle level
Must be willing to travel domestic/international locations to support internal and external customers vehicle builds, and debugging of test systems
Able to work in a regional and global team environment and be flexible with changing priorities
Able to Work independently with little to no supervision and multitask to meet project timing (time management skills)
Ability to interface and effectively communicate with internal and external customer is needed
Assist in the orientation and training of staff as related to equipment
Logical problem solver; good attention to detail
Proficient in English oral and written communication skills
Valid MI Driver License
Individual must be:
Logical problem solver; good attention to detail
Independent and proactive way of working; Solution-oriented mentality and strong willingness to learn are a must
Able to set-up and debug ADAS Data logging and instrumentation, root cause and solve ADAS Test equipment Issues at supplier or customer locations
Utilize Engineering principles to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues by gathering data and create open points for customer related issues.
Follow standard procedures, documents, and processes to resolve issues which may include working, cooperating and/or escalating other engineering disciplines
Experience with following tools is highly preferred:
Communication tools: Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe etc)
Configuration Management Tools: PTC Integrity
Traceability Tools: PowerBi
Requirements Management Tool: IBM Rational DOORS
MS Visio or similar design SW knowledge
Function development with Model-based Systems Engineering Framework
Handling of Vector CANape, CANoe and CANalyzer diagnostic tool
Agile working experience is a plus
