Test Site Infrastructure Specialist (Part-Time)

Pyka is looking for a part-time infrastructure specialist to support and scale our operations locally and in Latin America. In this role, you will own the deployment and development of ground infrastructure to support our flight testing team. Your focus will be to create scalable infrastructure that can support the safe and efficient operation of Pyka’s autonomous aircraft.

We are looking for someone to deploy to our test sites on a three week rotation to focus on implementation of critical infrastructure. You will rotate through our test sites abroad and locally, bringing new sites online and performing upgrades to existing test sites. This role will require you to work autonomously in remote agricultural locations around the globe.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and deploy critical ground infrastructure at Pyka test sites around the world
  
• Work with customers and flight operations team to coordinate and build ground infrastructure
  
• Identify operational bottlenecks related to infrastructure and implement elegant and scalable solutions
  
• Manage infrastructure at local and international test sites to ensure safe and efficient operations
  
• Conduct diverse site maintenance activities, involving the aircraft itself and ground infrastructure
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-5 years experience managing complex infrastructure projects in foreign countries
  
• Experience managing construction projects in Spanish
  
• Experience working with experimental hardware
  
• Experience installing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems
  
• Basic high voltage safety knowledge and comfortable working on 120 VDC, 20 ~ 30 kW systems
  
• Knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance, and manuals
  
• Independent and motivated; able to self-direct and manage time
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
• Willing to travel to customer sites around the world
  

Company Perks

• Part-time (three weeks on, three weeks off) salaried position. $46,000–$58,000 per year base salary + $7,000–$13,000 / year anticipated additional cash compensation + equity. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Salary ranges are subject to change.
