The Aftermarket Division flight simulators to update with the latest aeronautical improvements. Our employees develop innovative solutions to technological challenges.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead verification and validation of flight simulators:

  • Prepare engineering test plans to ensure that specifications and design requirements can be verified and validated.
  • Using a risk-based approach, determine testing and documentation activities with appropriate rationale and justification.
  • Participate in design reviews to present the testing plans, assumptions, and risks.
  • Be part of a deployment team that visits customer training centers to test the simulator after the hardware/software updates.
  • Perform validation of the simulator, first alone and then with the client representatives.
  • Report test results and provide recommendations to project team to assess project risks.
  • Identify and participate in the resolution of defects as early as possible during the project execution phase.
  • Lead the CAE team during simulator qualification with the local authorities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Specialization in Aerospace or Aeronautical is an asset.
  • Strong aviation knowledge is required. Priority will be given to candidates with additional qualifications such a private (PPL) or commercial pilot license (CPL), IFR, multi-engine class rating, etc.
  • Availability and willingness to travel to clients’ locations for periods of a few weeks, 3-5 times a year.
  • Knowledge of aeronautical industry processes: manufacturing, maintenance, software, is an asset.
  • Sense of initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good team spirit.
  • Very good knowledge of French and English.
